I’ve had many India Pale Ale beers (IPA) but this was the first India Pale Lager (IPL) that I have tried. Dream Machine by Magic Hat is a great compromise for those that do not like the heaviness and bitterness of an IPA but still like the hoppy smell and taste.
This beer has a great color and taste. You immediately get the hop taste but it finishes real smooth. This beer is 5.7% ABV, so you can definitely enjoy a couple without getting too full. I personally like lager beers compared to any other variety (i.e. ale, stout, porter…etc) and I really enjoy the hoppy flavor. This style is a great combination of Lager’s smoothness and IPA’s bitterness.
